QU’S GRAY GALLERY TO HOST 34TH ANNUAL GREAT RIVER WATERCOLOR SOCIETY EXHIBITION
Quincy University’s Gray Gallery, located in Brenner Library, is hosting an art exhibition featuring recent works by Tri-State watercolorists and works produced in the October 2023 Fred Jones (WIU Distinguished Lecturer) “Landscapes from the Heart” Watercolor Workshop at QU.
The Great River Watercolor Exhibition runs from January 22 through February 16, and is free and open to the public. An artist’s reception will be held on January 28, from 1:30 – 3 p.m. in the Gray Gallery/Brenner Library.
The exhibition at QU also provides the opportunity for an art members exchange of 2″ x 2″ watercolor, an idea initiated by Robert Mejer, distinguished professor of art and Gray Gallery curator.
Great River Watercolor Society promotes the appreciation for and the significance of watercolor and brings in practicing watercolorists who share a variety of viewpoints and techniques pertaining to this medium.
